If there is no law there is no sin. But are you sure online gambling has no law in countries like UAE and Saudi Arabia? They may have law about gambling in general and not just about traditional gambling but both traditional, online and any other type of gambling. What I know is that Muslim countries termed gambling as sin and be it online or traditional gambling, it may not be accepted in such countries.

I think law and sin are two different things. Sin has to do more with a religion while laws are from a government, however both entitles us to get punished if ever we don't abide them. There may be no gambling laws in our country but our religion may still restrict it, especially if we are an Islam.

I think I already saw gambling being allowed before on the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and maybe they are only restricted in some places. Same thing can be applied in online gambling, so for our safety, it is always better to play on a casino that has a permit from their local government. Doing this, allows us to not get in any trouble and we can play with a clear mind this way which is important if our goal is to possibly earn a profit.
