But I think this would be amazing to have Leverkusen in the Champions League during the time no team could even beat Leverkusen. I'm wondering if Xabi Alonso and his players could also beat teams like Real Madrid and Manchester City with the current form they have or not.
Regardless of this, I think this Leverkusen we see can easily win the Bundesliga title at the end of this season, and winning the trophy is not hard for them. Bayer Leverkusen without doubt have been extremely good with their performances this season both in the German Bundesliga campaign and also in the UEFA Europa League competition but that doesn't mean that they'll also be doing exceptionally well if they were playing in club football's most prestigious competition which is the UEFA Champions League competition. Football isn't analyzed that way if you ask me and I'm not even saying that there's no possibility of them doing well if they were participating in the UEFA Champions League competition.
Xabi Alonso is building the Bayer Leverkusen team to become a very strong team in the German Bundesliga and also in Europe but we should learn how to take everything one at a time.
