Indeed Bitcoin rose rapidly before the halving. Bitcoin has crossed $73k, breaking its previous record high. Most people would object to taking entry into new investments from Bitcoin's peak price. But those who invest in DCA method will invest more or less from the maximum value. Everyone wants a bit more profit, so it is better to invest Bitcoin in a bear market. As Bitcoin will halve next month, Bitcoin is now correcting and starting to fall in value. It is very hard to predict if bitcoin will reach $150k when the main bull run starts after the bitcoin halving, but I am optimistic that it will exceed $100k.

With regards to DCA, you keep on buying bitcoin regardless of its price, so the higher its price gets, the bigger the profits those who have started DCA years ago. But if you are starting to buy at its peak price, I would say that won’t be ideal to do. You are only increasing your risk of losing, even if you say you are here for long term hodling. It would still more advantageous if you start buying at a low price and certainly sell when bitcoin price reaches an all time high.

However, reaching $100k or $150k will always be possible, but I just don’t think these will definitely happen before halving, but most probably by the end of the year, we can see bitcoin reaching these price range.
