The problem with Atletico Madrid is inconsistency, they will play very well to a certain point then they start losing and drawing matches anyhow if not Atletico Madrid is among the strongest clubs in the la Liga just that they hardly win trophies.

It can be said that Simeone squad has had difficulty winning trophies, especially this season, but they have always been able to finish in the top four of the standings in the last decade. The competition to win fourth place in the standings with Atletic Bilbao is likely to be tight until the end of the season, but Atletico Madrid opportunity is still very open because the two teams are only 1 point apart.

Actually, Atletico Madrid have been a strong force in the la Liga for over a decade now so I wouldn't be surprised if they still bounce back to form soon and reclaim the top four position because regardless of the fact that they lost their previous match, Atletico Madrid's defense is one I admire a lot among all the teams in Europe because hardly for an opponent to penetrate Atletico's defense and have an easy way because it is not always easy, that's why majority of their winnings always ends in clean sheets. I just saw Atletico Madrid's loss as coming from tiredness of players due to the champions league match they played against Inter Milan, the players were so exhausted as a result of the stress the match gave them during last midweek.
