I think Girona realizes that they haven't played well in their last few matches and that's why they have to be able to recover from this downturn which could make them miss out on a UCL ticket next season. Girona have been fighting and playing well since the start of the season and they have to succeed in finishing in the top four in the standings until the end of the season, even though they might go through tough matches, even if they at least get points from each match and don't lose points which might make them shift to 3rd position at the moment.

If we look at the results of Girona's last few matches, they have lost against Athletic Club, Getafe and Mallorca. While Athletic Club was a somewhat stronger team, Getafe and Mallorca were comparatively weaker opponents. Girona were defeated in both these matches.

The main reason for the defeats against Getafe and Mallorca was the poor performance of the attacking players. Girona lost both matches 1-0. The attacking players are not in good form. Otherwise Girona would not have lost against the likes of Mallorca and Getafe.
