Manchester United were too reluctant in making drastic changes and they thought that their status as a big team will always make way for them and this thinking lead to their fall and decline. For them to get back to were they used to be, they need to make good decisions that will help the club. Other clubs are also coming up and they want to take over. When Alex Farguson was Manchester United coach, the success he brought to the club made them too relaxed. For Manchester United to be champions league regulars again, they have to work harder than the other clubs in the league.

I agree with you that Manchester United will not qualify for next season's Uefa Champions League. Aston Villa is leading Manchester United by 9 points in the Premier League, and Manchester United would not be consistent enough to close the gap with Aston Villa in the fourth position in the Premier League table if Aston Villa drops points. I see Tottenham as one who will possibly overtake Aston Villa in the Premier League table. Aston Villa is leading Tottenham with 3 points, and Tottenham have an outstanding game; if they win the game, they will be on equal points with Aston Villa in the Premier League table.
