Imagine a scenario where the gambler gets addicted, peace wouldn't be in that home anymore. Some gamblers don't think about the risks involved in their gambling attitudes, sometimes the kids suffer more than the addicted parent. Putting kids in an early stage of life in such a severe pain and trauma should be discouraged. Societal lifestyle has changed alongside the internet lifestyle. I thought it would be for the better, but lots of gamblers keep losing control even at home. The concept of online gambling is for privacy. As you suggested, doing the gaming privately wouldn't lead to any child seeing his parents gambling. I dislike when kids come closer to my screen and stay for a long time especially when viewing games.

It's better to watch movies together with them, than share same laptop screen. Because ads could appear unexpectedly. And their eyes are so catchy that they'll observe every single move on the screen. Married people out of love for their beloved home are expected to forgo some certain unhelpful habits. And focus in building a memorable childhood for their kids, by forfeiting time meant for gambling, and investing it on spending valuable time with the children. Teaching them what to learn and what not to learn out there in the society. These are reasonable conversations that could change a child's future for good.
