Why not apply for a merit source? I am assuming that the members of the Indian local board will support you with your efforts as you have been active always on the board and always created interesting topics and engaging. It is not a big issue if you know how to apply for a merit source, this might be the first time a Senior Member becomes a merit source for the local board.
