Kids knowing about gambling doesn't mean they won't escape the gambling habit. Could recur a member that mentioned about his dad abusing gambling right in front of them. He was a son to an addicted player but ended up having a severe hatred on gambling. For some reasons he didn't engage into gambling like his dad. It has both impacts on the person. It either makes the person avoid gambling entirely or get the person into gambling. Both ways none is the right choice for young people. First, having hatred on gambling is not good. Because gambling is good once a while a person is meant to gamble to get a few tastes of joy from swinging money. On the other hand if the person gets involved into gambling like his dad he could become addicted.

As a child I knew about gambling had some family friends that gambled. But didn't gamble like them because I never had access to doing it. Kids tend to repeat what whoever they respect do. It doesn't necessarily have to be the parents he lives with in same house. But a family friend or friend who comes once a whole, could, in multiple ways, influence the kids into gambling. The dad may unknowingly mention gambling. Or the person starts a conversation right in front of the kids about how he made money in gambling to purchase all the important looking things he posses. The child could be around listening. Having access is the main problem. Most kids today have complete access to anything online. Including online gambling.

You know, I can give you my own examples of how kids dont get addicted to what parents do. For example I watch UFC fights weekly. From time to time, kid passes by TV, pauses for few seconds to look at what is going on. For majority - my kid is watching violence. For majority - I am giving my kid a bad example. But, not a single school teacher, nor other parent complained about my kid fighting with others. Never ever I saw any aggression. Never ever my kid tried to solve situation with fighting. The other thing that my kid often see me doing is reading before going to sleep. Unfortunately, I cant boast that my kid likes reading or reads a lot. Maximum what the kid reads is for homework.

What I am saying, that kid not only get addicted to what parents do, but not always shows a huge interest to it. Btw, we play UNO and we bet candies (skittles). On one hand it is a motivation to gamble. On the other I dont let kid eat candies unlimited and for nothing. Beat me and grab a candy Cheesy

Sometimes I get more candies than my kid Cheesy
