Although I am a new member of the forum, I have been familiar with crypto for a few years. I looked at the marketplace and found that the market fluctuated a lot, but I also saw many types of coins that have a market. Despite having many coins, how did this bitcoin become so popular? Why is this coin so popular? Why is it so popular?
I don't know if it's just me, but whenever you hear the word "cryptocurrency" the first thing that will come to somebody's mind will be "Bitcoin". I mean maybe it's also because of the fact that it's the first cryptocurrency that's been created (excluded the ones that have created by some cypherpunks many decades ago).
Bitcoin became so popular because it has been already attached to the term cryptocurrency. Aside from that, it's also the top coin when you look at websites like Coingecko and Coinmarketcap. When somebody wants to promote cryptocurrency, the first thing that they will promote might be Bitcoin. Whenever somebody talks about cryptocurrency, Bitcoin is the first thing that comes to their mind. Of course, let's also include the fact that scammers also used Bitcoin to scam people hence, it also increased its popularity in a bad way though.
Overall, there are many reasons why Bitcoin became the most popular cryptocurrency right now, and I think that it will stay the same for a very long time "UNLESS" there will be a thing that will be invented in the future that will be better than what Bitcoin currently is right now.
