Call it a blessing in disguise, their last 2 washed out matches were against KKR and SRH and both these teams are on a roll.

Gujjus might have some sort of opening against these 2 because of the nature of T-20 but at the same time, now they can somehow use this rain excuse according to their convenience.

Gills has been out of form and his captaincy was not upto the standard. The team lack consistency and you are right they were blessed from not getting shamed or booed by their home crowd after their disappointing over all performance due to the rains. It's unfortunate that without Hardik this team cannot go to the playoffs and Hardik with his new team also didn't qualify for the playoffs. That being said I feel Hardik will go back to GT in the next season or he will be droped from the leadership of MI.
