Playing with others isn't a good thing per se either. It has much to do with the kind of person you are (self-controller or careless) and how your friends are (responsible or foolish). It is so bad to play alone without control and that no one can warn you about your habits, as it is to play with others who drag you into making bets that you would not make on your own.

The best option IMO? play with others who you know are responsible, and not lose perspective on why you play and what you want to achieve with it in the first place, which in any case should be fun and not profit or winning any competition.

Playing gambling with those who have good responsible will gives us a chance to takes care of ourselves so we can reminds each other not to playing gambling excessively. We don't have to gambling with those that we don't know because we may lose ourselves control and that can cause us lose much money. After all, losing much money is something that we must avoids in gambling as we only use gambling to have fun and if we knows for sure about that, we will knows when to stops gambling. We don't wants to lose much money by playing gambling because that can makes us can't enjoy the gambling games and there will be a will to recover our lose. Just playing gambling because of the fun and not because of makes money is the main reason we playing gambling.

We can playing gambling anytime we wants but we must realizes that we really needs to have a good self control to avoids many problems. We can wins easily. That's what we must realizes so we will be carefully when playing gambling and not spends too much money in gambling. We knows the risks and the consequences so we will limits our gambling activity to prevents it. We hate losing so we must avoids that happens to us.

We must limits ourselves in gambling, that's the key to playing gambling moderately.
