Madrid are not ready to let their guard down, they find every possible measure to improve their team, every of their signings is a better investment that must surely account for winning various trophies. Mbappe is a good signing only that there will be much competition between him and Vinicius and no way they both have even more time to play, one has to be the starter which I feel they will likely want to start Mbappe than Vinicius. Is Madrid not finding replacement for Modric and Kroos since they are getting retired, I'm wondering who would be thier choice to help them with those magical passes and assist, even in their findings they will never find a much better replacement than the two legends.

On the other hand, Ancelotti currently has several players in his midfield position, so Kroos and Modric departure will go well without any worries. Of course these young players have not yet reached the level of Kroos and Modric, but over time they will develop and become better. Valvarde, Camavinga, Ceballos, Arda Guler, are the next successors to Madrid midfield, they have certainly learned a lot from the two legends Kroos and Modric.

So, Modric just extended his stay in Madrid with a one year contract. This is unbelieving for a 38 yrs old man to still play professionally and in one of the most competitive clubs. Despite his age, it doesn't stand as a hindrance for his outstanding performance in every games, he still moves the ball, his passes and dominance on the field still feels he is yet in his prime. Modric passion for football is incredible, Kroos at 34 yrs already retiring while Modric still wants to play even on his own expenses of receiving lower pay rate, let me believe he still has the opportunity to record another Champions League title in his career before retiring.

Why are they giving out the No 8 Jersey worn by Kroos a legend in the club to Valverde in this short period of time, I feel is a little disrespectful or is it just me feeling this way?
