Before the election they pretend to put a handful of food in your mouth with their own hands but when they are elected they will take away two handfuls of food from you.

This is one of the best definition of politicians. They will hide their evil agenda and pretend to be good to the ordinary people just to get the trust and it of the people, some will even go as far as doing some public jobs and appearing in some public places to deceive people that they will be good to the people but once they assume the political positions they will never allow the people to get close to them and they will use the money they is meant for the public to take care of their personal needs and thst of their family.

Things has become worse since the vote of the citizens is no longer the determiner of the winner of an election, you don't expect the politicians to waste their time anymore to do good works when they can buy their way into power without the vote of the people, there is rigging in most of the elections and this is the reasons why there will be less change in the political system in most of the countries because corruption has become the best friend to the politicians.
