I don't know about your country but in my country, politicians buy over media empires to sell lies and propaganda to the public... I know this is not peculiar to my country. This may be the reason there is a growing distrust between the leaders and the followers.

Not only in your country but all over the world such politics have emerged, usually by funding the media that favors them. You may be surprised to hear that everything in the country where I live is unilaterally controlled by the government. Because the second or rival government is never given a chance, even if all the people of the country are agitating, this government does not mind it because all the agitations by its administration kill people, and the agitation pours hot water on the people due to which all the people are greatly affected and Something dies. I have never seen such incidents that I have seen while living in my country, when they are circulated on social media, they are deleted immediately.

Media have become one of the greatest tool for winning elections in recent times, and this is because of how unregulated the Media space have becomes although it not only with elections but other aspects of our life's have been affected with the presence and growing Media space and there is now a need for individuals to take absolute control of what the allow access to their life as regards to they social media involvement.
We have seen how some great political revolutions all started from social Media and other media space and this should be taken seriously, because of their role in determining how people thinks and act.
Even with cryptocurrency market hype's also, many of the fake project have all adopted social Media to put their shit in our face each time, so media is one big tool that need to be regulated.
