There's no way the likes of Joshua Kimmich and Thomas Muller would be staying if Thomas Tuchel stayed. I'm not saying he is a bad coach, but his tactics weren't in alignment with the way his squad and the players played. And at the same time, had a bad relationship with strong minds in the dressing room.
It was the right call to part ways with Thomas Tuchel. Though, Bayern Leverkusen did very well at a top top level.

I want to see a game between Bayern Leverkusen and Bayern Munich and who classes the other when it comes to tactical intelligence. I'm still more of a Xabi Alonso fan even though I have something for Bayern Munich as well. I never saw all of his games when he was manager for Burnley.

I don't think Kompany has a significant influence in making player transfers. Bayern management will act to protect the club long term interests so that they do not rush to bring in random players. Meanwhile, Bayern failure to maintain its dominance last season was not entirely Tuchel fault. It could be that Tuchel doesn't get along with some of his players.

The transfer window has just opened, we need to see how Bayern improves the depth of their squad, to predict their strength when facing Leverkusen. Currently, Xabi fleet has not shown any signs of a decline in performance, so they still have the opportunity to repeat their impressive season, and may still be able to beat Bayern next season.

Bayern chances of winning a trophy next season are actually quite open even though Kompany doesn't have much experience as a manager. Apart from that, whatever strategy Kompany wants to implement is currently very easy to do, because the difference in squad depth between Bayern and Burnley is very large.
