Being a father to three myself, I can't help but agree with you, as disappointing as the knowledge of this may appear, it's absolutely the truth, because normally, a typical parents would want to have their kids do only what they(the parents) want, and pleases them(the parents), and because of this very burning desire, parents usually get very frustrated and totally disappointed in their children when they see the child doing or living a type of life they never have envisaged for that child or their children.

But the truth of the matter (like you said) is that, parent can't really (like 100 percent) control what their kids do, or engage themselves in, because if you as a parent can get the child under your control when they are at home, how about when they are out there in school, and other social gatherings where you as a parent couldnt be present due to one reason or the other?

I think as parents, what we really do is to keep advicing our children, teaching them the wrong and right things to do, it's up to them to learn for the betterment of their future.
