Mbappe's main position is a center forward (striker) but he also can play as a left winger or a right winger. Ancelotti actually can have some options to put him in the attacking line of Real Madrid. However, I really believe Mbappe will be important player for Real Madrid, he will be put on the best position as a machine goal. So, the striker position will be the best option for Mbappe.

I don't know if it is possible for Haaland to join Real Madrid. But he can play together with Mbappe because Mbappe can play as a right winger. Vinicius-Haaland-Mbappe will be the best combination for Real Madrid if it really happens. But I doubt Florentino Pérez wants Haaland if Mbappe can play amazing as a Real Madrid striker.
