I do believe that's the smartest decision for Madrid. Trying to look for a backup striker that you can rely on is quite difficult nowadays, not to mention the options are limited. mbape is the perfect attacker any good coach that's interested in winning trophies would want to be on his side. Dude is young, has the pace, is matured up there and has a personality that strengthen his team mate. You can't see many of those kind of players like that. One thing about the Madrid team is that almost all the players are world class and experience players that knows what's football and that's why even when they are loosing In the 80th minutes, they keep fighting and believing that they won't just equalize but that they can still win the match. Without mbape, the real Madrid team will still do very well but to strengthen things up and put a lot of fear in your opponents mind, you've got to be ready in all angles and put up the fight. The team want to be balance on and off the bench and that's why with the dozens of useful players they have, the coach isn't relenting in his effort to recruit more world class players.

The fact is that Real Madrid can actually do without Mbappe, they have been playing for two seasons now without a striker and they keep winning trophies, Mbappe is just an additional advantage to the squad, with him the team will balance well, they struggle a bit without a striker, but now everyone will be playing in their positions of talent. June won't be use as top 9 again, because of Mbappe, but if the coach want to have a second choice striker, I think he needs to go get a player older than Mbappe with more experience. Because if they get a player that's much younger than Mbappe, he won't play any game, that's the fact, he will end up warming bench. Real Madrid is a world class club. Only classic players that they will consider in the team.
