So, all the participants in the semi-finals are known and here are the odds for the title holder:
Spain 3.00
England 3.50
France 3.75
Netherlands 5.50
I wonder why dead England and half-dead France are rated so much better than the Netherlands? Does anyone expect that starting from the semifinals they will seriously improve their game? This is a strange assumption, especially considering that both England and France spent 120 minutes in the quarter-finals.
On paper England and France have better squad depth than the Netherlands, but that alone cannot reflect how much time they need to win their match in the knockout stages. Spain also needed 120 minutes to win, the Netherlands were only better than Türkiye. If the Netherlands is considered better than France and England because the Netherlands won in 90 minutes against Turkey, then this would also be a strange assumption.
England vs Netherlands and Spain vs France. It's going to be two fantastic match in the semi-finals.
Do you think the odds on Spain are a trap?
I definitely want to re-quote this image.
