Wow this is going to be an amazing season for Real Madrid! Modric has extended his contract for one year and that means Real Madrid still has one experienced midfielder. I think Modrid really deserves to be the captain of Real Madrid because he has great charisma and people respect him. Modric will provide many lessons and experiences to other young midfielders such as Tchouameni, Valverde, Arda Guler and Camavinga. Modric can also provide motivation and increase the mental and self-confidence of many other young players when facing high-level competition. I think Madrid will really shine this season.

Not that Modric can motivate young players or he will provide them with experience. He is not new in the club and he has being doing it which these young players already know his potential because whenever the game is tough in the second half and Real Madrid needs goal, he substitutes Modric and brings out Kross from the pitch.

Modric has always being a game changer when he handles the midfield because that is what he is good at so I am not surprised that Real Madrid signed a new contract with him since Kross is gone. This is why Ancelotti is not talking about replacing Kross.
