Having an imaginary winning in your mind as a gambler is very bad because if you don't win the bet it can cause emotional damages due to the fact that you've already mapped out what to do with the money if the bet wins.

Every gamblers actually brings to their best to secure winning because it is a competition with the bookmakers or a P2P which winner takes the profits.
So having that imaginary thought of you to win is okay because we all want to win which is actually is a game of emotions and expectations. No one actually stakes a bet and does not expect winning when the game is still running. It is a game of "hopeful but not definite"

You see this is the reason why we advise gamblers to take gambling as fun because regardless of the fact most gamblers want their bets to win but there is no certainty that it will work according to their plan and that is the more reason why we should just play gambling without being too inquisitive of winning because when a gambler becomes too anxious for a winning then if it doesn't play he becomes so emotional because it is just a natural phenomenon for someone to feel emotional if what they wish doesn't come to reality.

Exactly, gambling is a game of probability which you may win or lose but there is no certainty that you gonna win and the possibility of winning is very low as people loses bets most of the time so that is why I said it's not a good practice to get an imaginary winning stuck in one's head because if it involves someone that solely depends on such a bet to win in order for him to pay some bills or debts and peradventure the bet cuts, it only takes few people to be calm in such situation. This reminds me of someone who bought a game and was given all assurance that the game will play accordingly and since he has seen proofs of people that bought games from that person in the past and won, he just concluded that he will also be favoured and went too far to borrow money and placed the bets and with all confidence that the bet will play he still went further to take more debts to merry while awaiting the outcome of the bet but when the bet couldn't play accordingly it traumatized this man to the extent that he lost his sanity and was acting very strange so this is the kind of situation that any gambler that feels an imaginary win gets.
