I doubt all she will receive is 'a few tests and not much more'. She'll be incarcerated in a hospital or prison under whatever mental health laws California have.

Clearly you don't understand mothers with severe mental health problems. If she was in her right mind I'm sure she would've done this, but those who are psychotic don't think with a rational mind..
