The only reason why this is getting more and more obvious is that they are trying to build up a team which can possibly take on realmadrid or may be take them out.

I hope that Barcelona doesn't take too long to get ahead because it's a team that is good for the League. For me, Barcelona has a lot of competition with Madrid, with Girona, even with Atlético de Madrid.
