Yeah, you're right. In fact there are also people who have lost more than this and so we must take all the precautions with our investments and secure our money.
I have lost some of my hard earned money in Bitconnect scam but nothing could be done to recover it.
My friend was lucky to take some of the profits in the earlier stage but I was not as luck as him and lost the money.
Although I lost the money I took it positively because it could have been worse if I had invested all of my money in it.
Fortunately, I had just put in what I could afford to lose back then.

I am happy that you were a bit more fortunate, however, both your and OP's cases should be a lesson for people to come, both to this thread and afterward to others. Thanks for sharing your story as well!
