Last T20 World Cup was a disaster. And not just because of the time zone. The tournament was scheduled during rainy season, and a number of matches (including those involving the Indian team) were washed out. A few more matches were impacted and overs were cut short. It doesn't change the fact that broadcasters overpaid for the current cycle and made losses despite 2024 t-20 WC beating the previous numbers (the last 2 t-20 WCs), yes there was a significant spike in numbers for the 2024 T-20 WC and not because of some miracle, its just Indian team had a fine campaign. Yeah, course correction will happen as far as the next cycle is concerned and for the right reasons.

Reminder that I posted this way back in 2022 when the auction concluded and considering the current drama it aged nicely.
