This thread has been bumped for the last 2 years or so, but it seems not any progress till now but yes, there is no other option for them but to keep on requesting for the local board until one day it gets approved.

I have been noticing the stats presented in this thread and my observation is that even though the activity and other things keep on increasing but the total active members haven't increased in this period as it should be. I think they need to advertise the forum and the local thread to the offline local community so more people can join in. Perhaps this might be one reason why they are not awarded the local board till yet.
