Land based casinos have their own charm. In current digital era, there are still many who prefer theatres over cinemas, paper books over reading from the screen, IRL conversation over phone call or chatting online. As all people are different with different needs and opinion, there will be always need for land based and online casinos. Land based casinos is a totally different experience than online gambling, even though people same things.
There is a difference between land based casinos which are traditional casinos against online casinos but taking about profitability and durability,
digital casino will last longer than physical casino. When I want to get a real feeling of gambling, I can go to physical casinos but when I want to play for money, I do it online. Physical casinos can make you enjoy gambling because you will be surrounded by other people and you will want to socialize and have fun. Digital casino are more easy to maintain therefore there will be more created as physical casino will be physically not possible to move around and more costly to maintain or build in other states but online casino can be used all over the whole world as far their governments do not have anything against gambling in the country.
Land based casinos offer more services than digital casinos. That is why I disagree that digital casinos will last longer. Take Vegas for example. "A casino" is a place where you stay, watch shows, restaurants and a casino itself. It a vacation. A place where people go to spend time. When digital casinos offer you only mouse clicks. When people get older and manage to earn a good living, if they are into gambling, they want to get extra service that just sit and bet.
I think that is the obvious difference though, I mean if you are into "casino" in Vegas, it's a complete fun and entertainment, staying in the hotels, with your family so it's really a vacation and then at night you gamble with friends.
But online casinos has also that advantage, specially for people who don't want to go to casinos. Yes, I have heard people with the notice like that, they are afraid to go to casinos because they think it's for the rich. But when online casinos arrived, they played and started to gamble and now they can have the same experience as people going into traditional based casino.
