Rice's red card at the start of the second half was a little disturbing so this made Arsenal reduce the intensity of their attacks even though for the first half they were quite good and even took the lead through Kai Havertz but by losing 1 player at the start of the second half made Arteta inevitably look for other options for their defense because they lost in number of players.
And that was the mistake I think Arsenal made today in their just concluded match against Brighton, by changing it's pattern to playing a defensive game when they had scored just one goal, when they ought to have continued attacking, despite the remover of "Declan Rice" as he was issued red card at 49 minutes into the game, as that gave room to Brighton scoring it's equalizing goal, as it marks the second time both clubs playing draw since 2019. However, it was an interesting game, of which though Brighton may be taking the lead today, Arsenal is still rest assured to do more better in a long run.
But there is nothing they can expect when the match becomes unbalanced when 10 players against 11 players so Arteta must change his pattern to be more defensive so that the situation is not worse even though the 1 goal reply from Brighton was not really expected but they had to accept it because it must be difficult to play under pressure with fewer players.
At least 1 point they still got in this match and of course this must be a lesson for their future because after all, the slightest mistake on the field will eventually have an impact on the performance and the final result.
btw in today's match the red derby ended with a pretty big score and I am happy with Liverpool's victory in this match because after all this proves several things including their quality which is still maintained despite changes and is in the transition of a new coach.
