What tends to catch people's fancy the most is how much loss you've generated over a specific period of time -- especially wagering a $100k at once on a single ticket.. Nobody says you should fold cause you lost today, you can possibly win some other time.
The last thing I'd do is use the reverse phycology method on a game of luck and chance.

Exactly!! You see, what tends to make a difference is when the gambler assumes he'd be making a living out of gambling. That way, whenever he's confronted by a huge loss, his emotions are definitely tied to it.

Well, yeah, I also think same, most people in the world are more quick and comfortable to discuss negative things over the positive ones, isn't this the reason why if you observe carefully, you will know that negative news spread way more faster than positive news, take for example, some one posted that he bought a new care for $9 million dollars, he may like get only a few likes and shares because no one really care and most are even jealous.
But when there is news that that same person crashed his new $9 million car just 3 days after buying it, and in the process, he also lost his life in the accident, you will see that who ever comes across that news won't hesitate to like and share.

Coming back to gambling, most gamblers won't discuss their winnings, but will be quick to post about their losses, and personally, I feel it's actually a good thing since it keeps the preying and jealous eyes away from you, not everyone is happy for your wins, but when it comes to loses, almost every one is happy to see you lose so you don't do better than them, and it's better to keep them in the dark about your winnings, and only make them believe that you are losing all the time.
