It didn't take long for Lukaku to adapt and score, Lukaku immediately made an impact in his debut match, and I predict Conte will rely on him this season. We can see that Conte was not wrong to recruit Lukaku from Chelsea, the effect was immediately felt with Napoli managing to secure full points. Thanks to the dramatic victory over Parma, Napoli has now collected 6 points and is ranked 6th in the standings. Without Osimhen, Conte will certainly rely on Lukaku in the front line, his quality has been tested and it seems that Lukaku can meet expectations.

Good to see Lukaku already getting acquainted with the team and already scoring goals on his debut. He has really shown to the team that they can depend on him when it comes to goals and they won’t regret signing him as their top striker. It takes some days for some players to adapt to the team and deliver immediately in the position they’re meant to be playing for but as for Lukaku, it only took him one match and he’s done well for what he’s signed for. I may say that he’s used to the Serie A side, so it won’t be hard for him to adapt immediately.

On the other hand, Roma after Lukaku departure has not been able to win a single match, and currently De Rossi squad has to be willing to occupy 17th place, one level above the relegation zone. I am actually quite surprised by Roma policy of not daring to make Lukaku status permanent, indeed they managed to recruit Artem Dovbyk who is much younger, but so far without Lukaku they have had a hard time scoring goals. Overall, Napoli will be fine even without Osimhen, as Lukaku can be a solution for goalscoring.

When Roma refused to permanent Lukaku’s deal and went for a younger player, everyone will hail them for their bravery because, every team will want to rely on young players for the long term benefit of the club and not on short term players or older players that may get weak and not be as strong as they use to be, but for the case of Lukaku it’s different and if they’ve knew that. The league it still in its early stages, let’s wait to see what De Rossi can produce from the squad this season.
