We are talking about handful of people that want to get their name listed as top 30 richest man alive or some shit there but obviously majority people wont even get there.

The actual goal that most of those people wants are probably not to get richer but you know when you get to that point where you own lots of companies, its just impossible for them to lose money unless they did something stupid. Aside from that, it would be a waste to tarnish their name and reputation when they bankrupt so they have no choice but to keep getting richer at that point
