Even with Lukaku on the team, if Osimhen was good with the team and the manager he would have still played, but because the damage was beyond repair, we saw him sent on loan. They are not paying his salary and he will be let go whenever an offer is made. Plus they made a new contract, basically a longer one, but cheaper release clause, so it should be fine for him to leave now.

The best thing for Osimhen was that he left the team to join another team. If he stayed back, it would have been his worth nightmare throughout his career. For a player like him, he can still fit into Conte’s style of football and become successful more as a striker in the team. He is left behind because of his differences with the team. He shouldn’t have had a problem with the management, Conte could have still used him and he’ll be productive now.
