Your gains are dependent upon the amount of your coins you have bought before the price went up, and also the coin you have chosen.

I understand the above statement from a different perspective about market pumps that can affect new coins and old coins like bitcoin, the main crypto market is based on the entire price movement of bitcoin so some other altcoins that still gain trust from investors follow the increase, but not all potential altcoins experience an increase when the price of bitcoin increases or the price of bitcoin has recovered from the market correction.
