I think that the best strategy to deal with spammers is to ignore them. There's a block button for a reason. We don't even need mods for this, just block any user you don't like and move on. Heck, you don't even need to block anyone when you can just ignore their existence.

I think reporting them and tagging them isn't a bad idea. There are users I have on ignore, but at this rate ill have so many users on ignore and I wouldn't say I like that. Some users make posts in the space of a minute or two and that would not be a problem if the post were a sensible one. Some create topic after topic and most times the topics are a repetition of previous topics by themselves and other members.  You may have clocked it that the user is just spamming and I place them on "ignore" because they just keep blowing up my telegram with unnecessary notifications, but if nothing is done to them, it will only increase spamming more since there's no penalty for it.

These people discuss nothing but gambling. They keep engaging in counter-productive discussions that serve no purpose other than apparently advertising the crypto gambling platforms they're affiliated with. I've stamped across a disproportionately high amount of old Legendary and Hero members of this forum who advertised these websites on their profile pictures and in their signatures. I even wonder if these accounts were sold at some point, and if these are real people or some AI bots. Yet for some reason their posts are not considered low quality...

When you read the post, was I low quality? On the forum, people are advised to post on boards and discussions they're familiar with, so if a member decided to post on the gambling section I don't see anything wrong with that same way a user can choose to only post in the bitcoin discussion, economics, speculation or trading discussion. As long as the user doesn't spam posts and post rubbish or low-quality posts, I don't see anything wrong with it.
