I think Trump's know what Bitcoin is, it has been in his mouth since he has been elected in the office the first time, maybe he was just not giving it any thoughts or whatsoever. He even had nominated a SEC chairman that time that is hard on crypto if I'm mistaken.
But 6+ years, he now thinks that Bitcoin support is very critical on his candidacy, that's why he is talking at it again but this time in a very positive way. Even had his first Bitcoin transaction to gather the votes of pro-Bitcoin in the US on his side.
I don't think Trump has used Bitcoin really. Maybe he sent someone else to buy some for him, but nothing more than that.
The reality is that Trump is great at convincing people. He's a businessman, and he will say whatever people want to hear, and that includes Bitcoin people.
In reality, probably he couldn't care less about Bitcoin.
For me it is obvious, he is just trying to seem to be interested in something, so that those who love cryptocurrencies and bitcoin will vote for him. Trump is pursuing his own goals, everyone should understand this. However, this news and video can influence those people who love Trump, but have never used bitcoin, it could be a trigger for them to start. This is good, because the more people know and use bitcoin, the better, and it will also bring liquidity to the market. So that video is good in any case, even if Trump himself did not personally pay for the burger.
