That’s much more logical but let’s look further, is Kompany the coach who has the playing culture that Bayern Munich are looking for? I don’t think so because Bayern Munich have targeted some of the coaches they wanted but the coaches they wanted weren’t available. That’s why they decided to hire Kompany and despite the many doubts about his ability as Burnley manager.
Bayern Munich's decision to recruit Kompany is actually quite right even though Kompany was not the first priority for Bayern Munich because the management had seen several other players who at that time turned out not to have the willingness to coach Bayern Munich. But Kompany is very willing to coach Bayern Munich and I think his career and performance will be remembered very well if Munich can win the Bundesliga again this season, especially if he is able to bring Munich to the UCL final this season later.
After Tuchel dismissal, they actually tried to recruit some coaches who were considered experienced, but the lack of available coaches made Bayern Munich finally choose Kompany as a coach, regardless of our assumption that Munich was in a desperate condition because of recruiting Kompany but I think they had a special assessment before recruiting him as a coach, they did take a risky step when appointing an inexperienced coach for handle of munich, but so far we see Bayern Munich condition is very good in the league, besides that we can see how Munich game is better and more attractive in attacking at this time, so I think he is indeed the coach needed by Munich at this time, But even then it's unethical for us to judge him too quickly just because he won a game against a small team, so I think at least facing Leverkusen later could be one of those games to see his performance work.
