The rest is what you said, they became a biggest centralized exchange and create many trends in cryptocurrency market since 2017. BNB token is a first trend they created, and other centralized exchanges learned from it to launch their own tokens. People can dislike CZ and Binance but the fact is it's hard to find other centralized exchanges that can create hot trends in crypto market like Binance.
