Conte managing Napoli to do well was what people expected, Napoli wasn't some bad team last year, hell they had Osimhen and still did worse than what they are doing this year.

The problem last year was the managers and when they fired them and got Conte instead, they became better again like expected. They do not even have Osimhen this year, a player who is worth 100 million, and now they are looking at Lukaku as the next striker they can rely on, and during the times he played he wasn't bad, not as good as Osimhen but wasn't bad. They will finish well, and Conte will show the world how great he is once again.

We also need to realize they are not good enough to win the title, there is a realistic expectation and then there is unrealistic expectation, if you think they will end up with the title, you are expecting unreal results from them and you shouldn't. I get that they won the title once, and they were so happy and hope for more, but just because they won once, doesn't mean they will win again, they probably won't win the title again. They just need to be in top four to go to UCL and make enough money to sustain and I believe that Conte will make sure that they will be in top four this season.
