True. But the reality is that the vast majority of people usually vote without reading too much, or anything, about the actual plan a presidential candidate has to offer.

In many cases, and probably in the majority, people simply vote for the same political party that they have always voted for. Some might even vote for the most popular person on TV, or simply the most charismatic one.

There are so many reasons that people end up voting for a specific candidate, yet very few actually sit down and consider the consequences of their vote.

For example in the UK, some people voted for Brexit while they were residing in other European countries, without understanding that they would have to go back to the UK based on what they voted.

Not everyone cares about politics or elections even though the results of elections can affect their lives for years to come. But there is more to life than just focusing too much on politics. If you don't have a good job, you don't have a steady income and you're struggling to make ends meet. What good do you care about politicians? Many people don't care and stay neutral because they know that all politicians are liars, and voting to help them win won't change anything.

Most of us here are very interested in politics in the United States because they have always been the center of the world but I believe many people will never be interested in politics in their own country. That's a pretty harsh truth.
