Interesting discussion, as far as I understand that the mega project carried out by PIF and the Saudi Kingdom is not only intended for one sport. they also do the same for other types of sports, the goal is none other than to develop the quality of their sports world, including football which is very popular in the world community. I don't think top European players will play in this competition, at least while their careers are still shining. after all, PIF dares to spend huge funds not only for football. however, it is clear that they want to develop their football further. at least, for the Asian level. besides, their target is to host the World Cup. of course it requires planning and other goals behind all these mega projects. on the other hand, currently there are new policies implemented by the Saudi Kingdom. the football industry is easier to introduce, at least they also want that in the eyes of the world the Middle East is a safe country. through football their plans are carried out, with the support of the government and also the PIF company which is directly under one of the rulers of the kingdom in Saudi Arabia. business, is the long term. they open to the world, that their country is a safe country. the point is, the projects they do are different from the preyek done by China. if anyone understands better, especially if my assumption is wrong, please correct me.
No the goal is none other than to develop the most effective green washing machine on the planet. Sometimes I think you guys are blind on at least one eye. Didn't you even ask yourself why a country full of deserts would have an intention to bring sports and people in while they can leverage so many other things with their money? Ronaldo doesn't get criticized because he takes money. It is because he legitimizes a regime that is highly problematic to say the least. Sports and politics go hand in hand as we have seen in Qatar. It keeps going and when people like Ronaldo decide to throw morals overboard and then claim that they are all for the dialogue and not for the money, then things become ridiculous and they lose sight of reality.
You are talking about sports and this is exactly the goal. They want people like you.
