No, it doesn't, the whole thing was a hoax, a few newspapers fell for the clickbaitish posts and thought more of earning a million views than checking the source, and now we have a topic here that keeps on going and going about something that doesn't and won't exist!

The only thing I'm curious about is why is this topic not getting locked while a hundred others are, and the only reason I can think of is thate it must be a mod who simply likes to bait or troll people with it, there is no other explanation!

I'm happy that someone have finally clarified us about this particular topic and this I think should be a call for this topic to locked so that people will stop talking about a mirage competition that's not going to happen anywhere. When I first saw this topic here last year, I frowned at it but was still curious to know how such sports is going to take place however, your comment on the issue now a clear enough for us to understand that there's nothing of such nature.
Another thing I'll want to say is that I know it's a good idea to bring fresh topics to the forum so members can discuss but it's more important to always verify reports before bringing them here so we don't end up discussing a topic that's baseless.
