No, i don't expect an investor to believe in Bitcoin by just checking the price of Bitcoin in the past or currently. He must understand the nature of Bitcoin, and grasp knowledge from it. Only then he will have his personal conviction on Bitcoin and believe in it. The price being assured to go up for years than going down is what build trust to choose it as the best asset to invest in. But believing is witnessing. When we start to invest with the knowledge we have and things start working out properly based on our goals, strategies and longevity then we are not true believers because we would rather trust in holding it for more than 10 years rather than trusting it in the short term

I guess that doesn't mean about solely checking the price then try to believe it, but rather make those past price achievement reached by bitcoin as good basis to believe that bitcoin really has a potential to grow and those who engage earlier are now gaining good figures as of the moment. Those events is already a good basis for people to believe that there's something more if they going to invest with bitcoin for long term purposes.

I believe any investor looking to invest in bitcoin can easily see that it is not behaving like shitcoins which are associated with pump and dumps which drowns unguided investors funds. Bitcoin has the history of appreciating consistently in value by good margins and every genuine long-term bitcoin investor can testify to great gains from the time of his/her investments until now. I think I have read JayJuanGee saying his is about 64X currently or so. The track record of success speaks for itself and if you watch carefully, you would observe that most shitcoins take advantage of the bull run to experience a pump and afterwards dump massively and doesn't ever appreciate again since most of their creators are only interested in the pumping and not like they are solid projects. The consistency of bitcoin increasing in value should serve as a true basis of conviction to the investor that bitcoin is a very solid project and very profitable investment option and also the best shot for his/her investment concerns.

The involvement of such reputable companies in the purchase and holding of BTC is a positive testimony for bitcoin and should tell the new investor of the great potential bitcoin holds and motivate him to start-up his investment activity in BTC without delay.

This is a fairly good suggestion, but it is not a must, People get into investment for different reasons and with different intentions and it is up to the investor to determine if he would sell off after a period of 4 - 10 years of holding or to continue holding, it is all a testimony of their current ability and enabling conditions to hold for longer.

Some people might hit a challenge that saps off their emergency funds completely after the said period of time and need funds on an emergency note to continue their living, In such situations you cannot advise the person to continue holding and take loans to coverup, they can sell part of their holdings to coverup the loophole and possible have plans to increase their portfolio when they find their balance or continue holding their reduced portfolio for yet longer term.
