Trump was sympathetic to Bitcoin in 2016. He got elected and adopted an hostile stance towards it. Now that he is candidate again he is friendly to Bitcoin, but nothing guarantees his conduct will remain after the election.
I think you are wrong. Cryptocurrency was not on the agenda in the last presidential elections. True. Nobody cared about crypto during the elections in 2016. Coinbase was only ~3 years old and an average American didn’t have any idea about crypto.
