I had such period when I was tired of gambling and I figured out that the best way to cope with it was to switch to another activity so I have started my housing project that lasted for about couple of years. However when this project was over and my house was built I became tired of my quiet life in it with empty bottles of whisky around my chair near fireplace thus I resumed my visits to local gambling shops and since moved to a full gambling life which provided the real sensations to me, however they are still what I feel when I'm away from my main activity in life.

That is normal if you feel tired of gambling because you don't get a good outcome as you want. You say that maybe it is enough to playing gambling and needs to take a break for a while. Well, that is important to you if you can leave gambling and do other things so you can fills your day with many things. Maybe from doing that thing, you can reduce your gambling activity and also your gambling addiction so that will help you to get rid of gambling. You can return to casino and play your favorite games but this time, you can control yourself better than before and you know when to stop your gambling activity. At least, you have benefit from your breaking to reduce the intention from playing gambling.

Any gambler, quitting gamble because he is not making profit has done the best thing for himself because when you are not enjoying the fun when gambling, you need to stop gambling, otherwise you will run at consecutive losses because you are gambling for fun at not for pleasure and entertainment.

Going on break is the best so that you can rethink over your life if really gambling is important in your life. Like what the OP said that he is not making profit when he is active in gambling but make profit when he gambles occasionally, I think he should stick to gambling once in a while because that is how he can make profit ot lose and would not be affected. That is a good delf control practice, gambling once a while.
