Is this true? Because according to some IT experts, using VPN can also significantly increase internet connection speed when the internet is interrupted. I myself have experienced this situation many times whenever the internet in my country has problems. I have used VPN like Express, and Nord and connected to recommended servers and it gives a better browsing experience. I have not tried using VPN for gambling sites but I have found that VPN does not always slow down our connection.

Also, I think the VPN service we choose will also affect the internet speed.

It depends, most of the time VPN is just use to hide your identity or simply do an anonymous browsing by using different IP. I’m not how can VPN increase the speed if the internet source itself has a capped speed on your country.

The only time I experienced that VPN increased my browsing speed is when it bypassed the speed limit set by the ISP provider but in general the speed is already there, the ISP is just capping it on some internet promo.

So I’m not if VPN can bypass an original slow speed internet.
It seems that it cannot help to bypass slow Internet if your gadget, mobile phone or laptop itself shows that you have a slow connection speed to the network. I have never encountered such a situation when using a VPN would significantly increase the connection speed. But slowdown is certainly possible, but it is usually not very large.
I align with you, he might have mistaken the VPN for another thing else. Although we can't know every VPN, some might have added that as a point of selling through their adverts and actually having such a service regardless of whether it works or not. But this is rare and he would have done well if he could provide the kind of VPN operator with that service. I only know some separate programs/apps from VPN that claim they are internet speed boosters but I have never used them and I wonder how they will hack the service of the ISP to allocate more internet to their customer.
But this is more of a fantasy than a reality. Such implementation requires special hardware and software, which is quite expensive. As a result, it turns out that organizations offering such a service must spend so much money on implementation that it will not be possible to cover these costs at the expense of the relatively insignificant subscription fee of clients if we consider the generally accepted and very small standard payment for this service to be approximately the same for all competing providers around the world that provide VPN services.
Like I said, this is questionable rather than doable but at the same time I will not be 100% sure about what I do not know, there are enough in the technological world that we might not believe unless we see them or use them ourselves. For this, I like to lean towards neutrality because such programs are being advertised online and if it is not working, I doubt if they will remain in business today and people would have rebuked them virally.

Also, many years ago when I started learning how to trade, a friend downloaded an internet speed booster on my laptop, and then in my country, we could only browse at the cafe by connecting their cord to our system and the internet was so slow. Could you believe I browsed faster when others complained of an internet connection? I forgot such a service since the internet is now fast in my country and accessible, but it doesn't change the fact that I experienced something like that.

VPN may also add such to their service if they like, for a raise in fee.
