Yes some politicians and media outlets treat migrants is alarming. They deny migrants humanity to divide people and gain power which can have devastating effects. We hav seen this before in Nazi Germany and Cambodia where it led to brutal persecution and atrocities. It is shocking to see this happening in US where migrants are blamed for societal problems. But  US was built by migrants and their contributions drive growth and prosperity. There is clear double standard in how migrants are treated based on their background. And you are right migrants from Ireland might not face same hostility as those from Haiti.

Literally
Every

Is 100% Pro Wall Street BS.

Virtually all US media coverage has been 100% pro-migrants, treating them like the Messiah and his Disciples coming across the Rio Grande.  Even right-wing FOX tends to be pro-migrant, merely because it keeps wages low for Wall Street.

And "Growth"?  How is that good for normal people?  Again, it's only good for Wall Street profits.  For everyone else, growth means more traffic, longer lines, higher prices, higher rent, and lower pay.

There definitely IS a clear double standard in how migrants are treated, namely how much better they are treated in the West than in their own countries where they will be screaming "This is OUR country!  Go home gringo!"

Developing countries are the most racist, right-wing, backwards places on the planet, and you totally ignore this! I mean, HELLO?  10 ton elephant in the room!

People make economies.  Immigrants are people.  They work, which helps businesses, which helps other people.  They pay taxes, which helps the government, which helps other people.  I'd bet you've eaten a lot more food than you'd think cooked by an immigrant off of plates that immigrants washed.

Right now in America there is a labor shortage with low unemployment.  That means there aren't enough people for all the jobs.  That's with almost 20% of the work force being filled by immigrants.

What do you think would happen to the economy if it lost almost 20% of it's workers?
