I had an impression that the frequent password input was not necessary, which can cause some security issues. I went ahead and set up two-factor authentication, however, it did not ask me to perform such an action after my logging out and logging back in again. As a newbie,what preventive measures should one have in place to make sure that their accounts are not defrauded or scammed?

Just don't check the Always stay logged in box if you don't want to stay log in.

But so far for longest time we are here in forum and let our account stay log in since its hassle to input frequently our password when we go here I don't encounter any issue with this matter. Although we are aware about account hacking but if you are careful enough for clicking any random links for sure we are safe. Also always check the url of the site you are using before entering your password to avoid any further issues.
