Other tournaments i've watched also use the sound of fake crowds to level up the viewing experience so it's no surprise that it's possibly being used in the highlights of Champions League matches.

Some supporters might not like it but it's probably not that big of a deal for most people when you're there to cheer for your team and the live experience could be more than worth it assuming the tickets are affordable.

I somewhat agree, I remember watching an NBA match and you'll sometimes hear a few fans shouting loud enough near the commentators.
