Before this regulation came into full effect, one of the ways I remember that the Brazilian government used to check gambling activities was by taxing gambling earnings or wins about 15% of the money and this was assumed to be enough to reduce gambling activities.
Am shocked to see that same government has totally closed over 2000 sites because they are either illegal or fo not fulfill the policies of the government.
I hope jobs would be created to cover this lapse in gbling earning.
Imposing tax for 15% is high for the winners or for gambling earnings but that is enough to make gamblers start reduce their gambling activities. But that doesn't makes addicted gamblers will stop playing gambling because that will not affect to them.
That is no problem if the government closed over 2000 sites when they don't meet the policies from the government. The government can still trying to get the tax from the other business. But yes, I agree that the government must created jobs for their people so they can use their time to work and not to playing gambling. Besides that, the government must educate their citizens about the danger of gambling.
